7050 Aluminum Tube/Pipe

Grade: 7050

Size:

Extruded: 6mm*1mm-400mm*40mm

Seamless: 70mm*10mm-270mm*60mm

Forged: 120mm*20mm-1200mm*200mm

Standard: ASTM, AMS, BS etc.

7050 is a high-strength aluminum zinc magnesium copper zirconium alloy developed for aerospace plate, particularly demanding thick sections. It combines strength with fracture toughness and resistance to exfoliation and stress corrosion cracking. T7451 emphasizes stress corrosion resistance, whereas T7651 provides higher strength with a different corrosion balance. Stretch stress relief helps control machining distortion. The alloy is principally used for machined aircraft structures and requires specification controlled testing, grain orientation and protective finishing for critical service.

Application fields

  • Aircraft bulkheads, frames and heavily loaded machined structural members.
  • Wing and fuselage fittings requiring strength and fracture toughness.
  • Thick aerospace plate components with controlled grain direction.
  • Precision aerospace assemblies where stress relief improves dimensional stability.
