316 Stainless Steel Pipe is an austenitic grade containing molybdenum for improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-bearing environments. It provides good strength, formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. 316 pipe is widely selected for marine, chemical, pharmaceutical, food-processing, water-treatment, and general industrial piping where exposure to aggressive media requires enhanced performance compared with standard 304 stainless steel.
