Standard: ASTM/ASME/AMS

NIMONIC PE16 is a nickel iron chromium alloy combining molybdenum strengthening with titanium and aluminum precipitation hardening. It was developed for elevated-temperature structures requiring strength together with practical forming and welding behavior. Different aging treatments adjust the balance between proof strength and ductility. Its established uses include turbine flame tubes, aircraft ducting, reactor components and superheater tubing.

600 483 806 24.5
700 489 672 36.8
800 306 380 46.1

Values describe one sheet treatment and must not be transferred to bar or to the alternative 800°C / 700°C aging treatment.

Application areas

  • Gas turbine flame tubes
  • Aircraft ducting and missile hot sections
  • Nuclear reactor components
  • Superheater tubing
