HAYNES 282 is a wrought nickel-base superalloy strengthened by gamma-prime precipitation. It combines creep strength, thermal stability and weldability for demanding turbine structures. Its relatively controlled precipitation behavior supports fabrication in the solution-annealed condition, followed by aging to develop strength. Applications include aircraft and industrial gas turbines, while specially qualified heat treatments extend its relevance to advanced power generation and pressure equipment.
