1050A Aluminum Sheet/Coil

Grade: 1050A

Coil: 0.3mm-3.0mm

Sheet: 0.3mm-300mm

Width: 50mm-2000mm

Standard: ASTM, AMS, BS etc.

1050A is a commercially pure wrought aluminum grade containing at least 99.50% aluminum. It combines excellent corrosion resistance, high ductility and good electrical and thermal conductivity. Sheet is readily bent, drawn and welded, making it useful for fabricated enclosures, reflective surfaces and heat transfer components. Strength increases through cold working rather than precipitation heat treatment. Its low strength and relatively poor machinability favor formed sheet applications over highly loaded precision parts.

Published Yieh sheet limits, not universal values for every product or specification. Elongation gauge length is not identified in the supplier table and must be confirmed for acceptance testing. Thickness intervals reproduce the supplier bands. [3]

Temper definitions

O is annealed. H14 is strain hardened to half hard; H24 is strain hardened and partially annealed to half hard; H18 is strain hardened to full hard. The same nominal hardness level does not imply identical specification limits.

Application areas

  • General fabricated sheet metal and cabinets
  • Chemical process equipment and compatible service containers
  • Architectural flashings and panels
  • Lamp reflectors and cable sheathing
  • Heat transfer devices and formed food industry containers
