3003 Aluminum Bar and Rod

3003 is a non heat treatable aluminum manganese alloy with moderate strength, good corrosion resistance and useful forming characteristics. Bar and rod can serve formed components and machined parts where very high strength is unnecessary. The annealed condition provides greater ductility, while fabrication or cold working can increase strength. Welding is generally practical. Stock availability is less widespread than for 6061, so the required bar shape, temper and manufacturing route should be confirmed before finalizing a design.
