2017 Aluminum Sheet and Plate

Grade: 2017

Coil: 0.3mm-3.0mm

Sheet: 0.3mm-300mm

Width: 50mm-2000mm

Standard: ASTM, AMS, BS etc.

2017 is a heat treatable wrought aluminum copper magnesium silicon alloy traditionally associated with naturally aged high strength components. It offers useful fatigue performance and good machining behavior in T4 and stress relieved T451 conditions. Annealing improves formability but reduces strength. Corrosion resistance is lower than that of commercially pure aluminum, so protective finishes may be required. Sheet and plate procurement needs a product specific specification; widely cited ASTM and AMS references for this grade often cover bars, rods or wire instead.
