7050 Aluminum Bar and Rod

Grade: 7050

Size:

Cold drawn: 2mm-12mm

Extruded: 6mm-400mm

Standard: ASTM, AMS, BS etc.

7050 is a high strength aluminum zinc magnesium copper zirconium alloy developed for aerospace structures requiring strength, toughness and corrosion performance. Extruded bar and rod are often supplied in stress relieved, overaged conditions such as T73511 and T76511. Zirconium assists microstructure control, and temper selection balances strength against corrosion resistance. Machined structural components require careful inspection and specification control. Plate values and plate temper designations must not be assumed to apply to bar, rod or extrusions.
